Photomontaging is a brilliant form or art that I have taken much fascination in lately. Artist Paul Cook is no newbie when it comes to this technique, challenging his viewer to take a different perspective on that which we encounter on a daily basis. Focusing on the universe, symmetry and geometrics, Cook approaches his pieces with fractals as his basis to create these gorgeous collages. 

"A fractal is a mathematical set that has a fractal dimension that usually exceeds its topological dimension Fractals are typically self-similar patterns, where self-similar means they are “the same from near as from far.” Fractals, which are made of and from sacred geometry make up/are the universe, the planet, us, basically everything we see, breathe and live."

Pearls and Men.

Designer Cheryl Manning of Manning Cartell has designed an incredible collection for her Spring and Summer 2012 collection titled 'Pearls and Men'. A combination of that which is feminine (soft pastels and short dresses) and with structured masculine suiting, mixed in with a bit of a fun sporty edge. I really love this collection! I could see myself owning every piece. It is the perfect juxtaposition of girly and boyish without trying hard. Show a lot of leg in one of her mini dresses or throw on a head to toe gold outfit that is both 'weekend night out' and can cross over to office wear with a simple change of trousers. 

Inspired by her muses Cara Delevingne and Melanie Laurent, Manning can't stay away from these cool girls style and attitude.

So, can I have this entire collection now please? 

Wardrobe Essential: The Linen Shirt.

THE LINEN SHIRT. A really great wardrobe essential for the summer time. Linen material is fantastic for hot weather because it's breathable and light weight. Perfect to wear with a pair of jean shorts or white skinny jeans. Formal enough to wear out and about or to use as a cover up top at the beach. I love the colorful choices from J•Crew but nothing can compete with a classic white long sleeve top with the sleeves rolled up. So perfect!

I have some really great linen pants that are my go to for a casual summer look but I'm definitely trying to invest in a white linen top. What do you think of the linen look?

Surfs up.

Can't say I have any knowledge what-so-ever on surfing or surfboards but if someone handed me one of these bad boys, I wouldn't hesitate. Possibly adding a shriek of excitement. I mean, double Cs in black and white out in the ocean? What will they come up with next!

Cannes Film Festival: Le Premier Jour.

The Cannes Film Festival has started off with a bang. That bang being Eva Longoria dressed in Marchesa on the red carpet, my favourite look so far. Oh the decadence that is Cannes with the champagne flowing, talk of international films, and celebrities strutting their best foot forward. I'm excited to see how the rest of the Festival goes and the glamorous attire that will accompany it all.

The Secrets of Hérmes.

I was absolutely thrilled when I saw this post by one of my favorite fashion bloggers Shini from Park and Cube. She had the rare opportunity to visit the Hérmes Atelier Sacs where this iconic brand creates their beautiful handbags. Her photography is enchanting, and I am utterly jealous that she was able to have this experience.

OH my goodness, I am absolutely thrilled to see the red carpet exuding with hot celebs and fashion icons in even hotter gowns, probably. If you haven't heard already, Alexander Wang is going with Azealia Banks and Mr. Altuzarra will be joined by Lana Del Rey. A glorious overload of amazing-ness! Non?
