Street Style: Ladies of Men's Euro-Fashion Week.

7.05.2013

Once again ladies and gents, the concrete catwalk through the lens of my favorite, Mr. Tommy Ton.

Coachella Chic.

4.23.2013

These past two weekends Coachella was the talk of all social media networks. If we had a dollar for every hashtag Coachella, we'd all be millionaires, seriously. Although the music festival brings a lot of over-the-top hobo, gypsy-esque fashion, some chic individuals know how to properly dress for a weekend of good music and fashion parties while rubbing elbows with the likes of models, actors, and (the newest trend) fashion/music bloggers.

Of course, all the major magazine photogs were present and photographing the best Coachella style looks. So of course, when I knew I wanted to do a post on this festival, I headed straight over to VOGUE and HARPERS BAZAAR.

These are my favorite looks ::

Blogger Crush: We The People.

4.10.2013

WE THE PEOPLE, a website created by New Zealand native Jessie Bush. Bush is an incredible street style photographer who has traveled the world and met all the who's who in fashion. They inspired her to begin her website where she posts the stunning images she takes. London based now, Bush still continues to capture some of the most beautiful street style photographs as well as images of all the fabulous places she is exploring. I visit her website religiously and use her images obsessively, I can't get enough.

Off-catwalk scene according to the one, and only, Mr. Tommy Ton.

Style: Tucked Hair.

2.18.2013

Over on The Sartorialist Mr. Schuman took some photographs of women with their hair tucked into their jackets and scarves outside some fashion week shows. I was really excited about these pictures because I have been tucking my hair into my jacket since I was in high school. I always thought it gave off this elegant, chic, laid-back look like 'I'm too lazy to pull my hair out but it looks amaze anyways so I'll just leave it at that'. Yeah, that's what I get from such a simple style choice but most of it attributes to my trip to Paris when I was 15 and saw an extremely chic French women with her hair as such coming out of Galeries Lafayette. Something about the face being framed so drastically by your hair just looks great to me. I have been doing it so long that my mom has stopped pulling my hair out when we are together (she used to do that incessantly and I would literally have a freakout when she did). Also, it was sort of convenient having decently long hair and if I forgot a scarf, tucking my hair into my jacket was a way of warmth.
Oh, and did I mention MK and Ashley Olsen have also been doing it since they moved to New York, so technically not a 'new' thing but I guess it's trendy now and I'm still loving it.

Seriously, what's more chic than this?

Nothing I love more than a killer pair of heels.

I'm still obsessed with the gold cap-toe YSL pumps from Spring/Summer 2012. Beautiful shoes. The Rodarte Tribal style heels are fantastic as well. Trés chic.

Style Crush: Kate Davidson Hudson.

10.15.2012

Kate Davidson Hudson. The stunning Accessories Director at Elle Magazine has a timeless style that exudes femininity. Looking chic without being boring or too much, Miss Hudson knows exactly what looks good on her and keeps to it. I'm a strong believer in experimenting with fashion but sometimes you have your go-to outfits that really are what define your style. I think this is helpful when building a wardrobe that will last you forever, instead of just this season. These staple pieces are your investment pieces and should be of the best quality you can afford and taken care of in the best possible manner. Hudson's style reflects this classic look but she gives it a fun, modern twist with her accessories (which makes perfect sense, it's what she does for a living). Her shoes are always killer and a bit edgy which plays well against the classic silhouettes of her dresses. Also, she can seriously rock a tailored pant. I absolutely LOVE you Miss Hudson!

Stylish Babe.

10.01.2012

Is it possible to be jealous of a 4 year old? Well look at this precious nugget in her mini Nikes and Chanel purse. As the niece of famous fashion designer Alexander Wang, Aila was born into style. Never thought such a little person could pull off so much black amazingly. Custom designed clothes by Uncle Alex and front row seats to his show. Can I repeat again that she is 4? The beginnings of a super stylish life little Aila.

Animal Face.

9.25.2012

I'm so obsessed with this trend, it's out of control. I have an entire folder in my library dedicated to animal face shirts. Why you ask? Well, sometimes, it's hard to leave your childhood behind. Having been raised the only girl with 2 brothers, I grew up playing with legos and animal figurines. Being able to mix my childhood memories of animals and now have them plastered all over my shirt, I'm so there! Fun and quirky yet throw on a leather skirt, it's super edgy. Plus, how much cooler is it having a shark face on your shirt rather than the super 90s Hello Kitty silhouette. Personally, I'm shark face, all the way.

NYFW Street Style.

9.14.2012

Plenty of magic happens inside the Lincoln Center but sometimes the more beautiful show is the one that happens on the sidewalks. Street style is one of my favorite aspects of Fashion Week. Off-duty models, fashion editors, and bloggers all strutting down the concrete catwalk while Tommy Ton snaps away. Check out these pretty birds.

Street Style: Denim Spotlight.

8.09.2012

I'M BACK, kiddies. Back from the beautiful city. It's bittersweet to say the least. Wish I could pack up my bags and move there immediately but there's something about coming home to the beautiful Flatiron mountains and the not so humid air that makes it easier to leave but that didn't stop me from grabbing some real estate cards to have options if I decide to move there one day.
I always come back so inspired by the fashion around NYC. The chic girls walking around 5th avenue to the hipsters of the village, I can't get enough street style. So I decided to dedicate this post to, drum roll please, street style the denim edition cause I'm an avid believer that in America, you can never wear enough denim (minus the head to toe looks please we aren't Justin and Britney circa 2001).

Style Inspo: Elin Kling - The Summer Black Out.

7.22.2012

I am a big HUGE fan of Miss Elin Kling for many years now (pretty much since back when her blog was mostly in Swedish). This Scandinavian beauty has it all. The perfect oh I just got out of bed hair, legs for days, and a style that'll make all the pretty boys and girls turn their heads.
This outfit is so city chic I absolutely love it! I have a big obsession with head-to-toe black but adding these colorful/flowery shoes makes it very summer appropriate.

Get the look...

Peplum top (similar: 1/2 ) // Round black sunnies (similar: 1/2 ) // Black skinny jeans (similar: 1 ) // Flower heels (similar: 1)

I am in dire need of a Peplum top! So cute to dress up jeans and really adds a bit of flare to the t-shirt or tank styles.

Street Style: Cut-offs and Leather via Coachella.

4.16.2012

What I would give to have attended Coachella this past weekend or to go next weekend. I'm so utterly jealous of those who were able to make it out there. Not only because of the great music like Azealia and Bon Iver but the neo-hippie boho-ness style that comes with this genius music festival. One day my friends. I will be at Coachella.
Any of you lucky souls able attend this weekend or will be next??
